Loculus, The Soldier's Satchel, in Kit form or fully assembled.

Kits contain all leather materials precut to length and dimension, all hardware, waxed linen thread and leather needles.

Our loculii are approximately 18" X 12" and come in several configurations. Three are pictured here with more on the way.

Only part of one Loculus has been found. Our fully assembled replica of that Hob Hill original is coming soon only available in goatskin and sewn with handspun linen thread. Loculii are also depicted in sculpture. There was certainly variation.

Ours are available in either goatskin or cattle hide, your choice. The leather thickness is from 2oz - 4 oz. Straps and the ring attachment panels are cattle hide. The goatskin is North African and all leather is undyed.

The attachment rings are 5/8" to 7/8" in either bronze or brass and are brazed closed. Comes with leather thongs.

An assembled Roman Legion Quartermaster Loculus is completely handsewn with waxed linen thread.

All versions are available with internal ties, your choice, specify one, two or three. At Legio IX Hispana we prefer internal ties after our experiences doing Campaign Marches in the rain.
